Postgraduate Research Work in the
X-Ray Binaries Research Group
at University College, Cork, Ireland



Keck Telescope, Mauna Kea, Hawai Applications are invited from students interested in studying at the Department of Physics, University College Cork, Ireland, to pursue work on interacting binaries containing black holes and neutron stars.  The work involves the acquisition, reduction and interpretation of infrared (1-2 microns), optical and X-ray (1-10 keV) data obtained from a variety of ground based (e.g. the Keck Observatory in Hawaii) and space borne facilities.
